Description
Sanjevani L-Lysine provides one of the nine essential amino acids that cannot be made in the body. Essential amino acids must be supplied by the diet or through supplementation. Lysine works with other essential amino acids to maintain growth, lean body mass, and nitrogen stores in the body. Lysine is incorporated into many body proteins that are used for a variety of purposes, including enzyme production, collagen formation, and tissue repair. It is found in legumes and some vegetables as well as animal proteins. Lysine intake may be inadequate in vegetarian, low protein diets or malabsorption conditions. Although most people do not require lysine supplementation, some individuals can benefit from added amounts of up to several grams per day, especially during viral outbreaks such as with herpes or cold sores.* No side effects have been reported at these levels of intake.†

Suggested Use
For prevention: Take 1 capsule twice daily with food or as directed by your healthcare provider.
For acute viral symptoms: Take 2 capsules three times daily with food.
